Overview

What we set out to build.

Parts Warehouse had outgrown Volusion. We rebuilt the storefront and the systems behind it as a custom platform, then migrated the catalogue, the order history and the customers across.

Scale and matching are the hard parts. Ten million items only work if the search does, so fitment lookup by vehicle model runs on Elasticsearch. Some orders ship from the warehouse and others drop-ship from suppliers, and the order pipeline handles both without the customer seeing a difference.
